Light at the end of the tunnel!

Okay, next update!

Things have been going at a fast and furious pace! We left off with no windows and open walls. In the two months since the last update we now have an all new electrical system and insulation! No more empty wooden box that's freezing in the mornings and baking in the afternoon!

With the insulation in, we moved on to having the windows and french door put in. This first picture is a shot of the window in the master bedroom. This is a window we had put in.

Along with windows, we had the sheetrock put in. No more bare wooden walls!

With the sheetrock up, the next step was taping the seams. They did a great job.

With the sheetrock all taped, next came a few coats of mud and texture. You can't see it really well in the picture, but trust me that's what's there. This is a shot of the soon-to-be-kitchen!

With the walls all ready to go, the next step... why priming and painting of course! Priming and painting every square inch of the house...

Somewhere along the line the kitchen cabinets came and were set in place. We also had to pick the colors for the house. You can see that on the far wall in this next picture.

Oh, and did we mention we upgraded the siding of the house? A lot of it was rotting away and with the new windows put in, we decided to liven it up. Can you tell the difference? :)

And then, after a few weeks of painting every free moment we had, here is a shot of myself priming our master bedroom wall just minutes from finishing!

That's it for now! All our appliances came today and we're going to have the quartz counter delivered Friday. We'll go another round with the painting (we're doing it ourselves to save enough money to redo our second bathroom), this time with actual colors! Whoo hoo!
